This is an exceptional quality goose down sourced from Ukraine. It is from a fully RDS 3.0 audited supply chain and meets all Down Codex requirements. It is a collector-based supply chain with many thousands of farms in its scope. As a result, birds live on smallholdings and household farms and live essentially free range or even ‘wild’ lives. Geese are slaughtered at 16 weeks of age. After slaughter the birds’ feathers are collected and taken to the pre-processor located in Poland. The pre-processor carries out basic sorting and drying before shipping the down to our German down supply partner, who clean, dry and sort the down before shipping it to Mountain Equipment.
