The strength of the Durian Hooded Fleece lies in its adaptability. The Durian uses 270g/m2 microgrid fleece, with a soft and highly wicking inner face and a densely woven, resistant outer face. The hard outer face adds significant wind resistance and keeps light snow and spindrift at bay, while the soft inner face keeps you warm and comfortable all day, even when you’re working hard. The elastane-bound hood provides additional protection from the elements, and reinforced thumb loops stop the sleeves riding up when reaching for holds or pulling on gloves. Two zippered hand pockets and a chest pocket allow storage of essentials. Combined, these features enable the Durian to transition seamlessly between use as a comfortable mid-layer beneath a shell, to a more substantial outer during high-energy activity in cool but fair conditions.

Function was the focus during design and development of the Durian. The full front zip allows you to dump heat when working hard, while the Active Fit reduces excess material, keeping the fleece neat beneath a harness and allowing for effective layering without jeopardising freedom of movement. This leaves you free to plant poles, bury axes, or swing leads without feeling constrained or bulky.

The Durian also takes valuable steps towards sustainability. Made from 94% recycled polyester derived from old plastic bottles, the Durian requires less energy and fewer resources in its production than virgin polyester items and diverts plastic from landfill.
