It’s one of the most versatile and resilient jackets in our range, a reassuring presence in any pack when the weather changes or the day takes an unexpected turn.
Extensive testing has shown us that PrimaLoftⓇ Gold Hi-Loft Ultra insulation with Cross Core™ aerogel technology is the best synthetic fill currently available for this application, highly thermally efficient even when wet, fast drying and resilient in the face of constant packing and unpacking, it remains mobile enough for seconding steep pitches of climbing and wearing for long periods. With 120g/m2 PrimaLoftⓇ used through both the body and arms, the Alpamayo is actually slightly warmer than its men’s equivalent, the Fitzroy.
A Drilite Loft shell is totally windproof and exceptionally weatherproof, combined with our helmet compatible Mountain HC Hood it makes the Alpamayo amongst the most protective jackets of its type currently available.
