Supporting those who keep us safe in the mountains.

Mountain Rescue is an essential volunteer service called upon when the worst happens. Comprising 47 teams across England and Wales and 28 teams in Scotland, the volunteers on every team are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are relied upon by those who need help in the mountains, whether that’s guiding lost parties back to safety, going to the aid of injured climbers, or helping in search and rescue operations.

Since 2009 we have been developing products, such as our benchmark Kongur MRT Jacket, specifically for Mountain Rescue Teams and we currently supply over 40 teams across the UK.

    Designed for Mountain Rescue

Mountain Rescue Teams can be called upon to go out into the worst conditions imaginable. Freezing temperatures, howling gales, and driving rain are all-too-common features of callouts, and the kit they wear needs to be up to the job.

For Mountain Equipment this provides some of the toughest conditions any of our products will face and is a valuable source of product feedback and testing.

We incorporate feedback from teams into the design of our rescue specific products; from hoods designed to offer greater field of vision and protection in bad weather to the use of durable YKK® AquaGuard zips and double stormflaps to ensure wind-driven rain stays outside your jacket, to totally windproof and waterproof fabrics to protect from windchill and rain using the very best technologies such as GORE-TEX Brand fabrics. These products are designed with the very worst of weather in mind.
